DESIGN, SHAPING AND CREATION PROCESS


1. Research stage

- Get accustomed with the similar products when designing.

- Study products available in journals or magazines. This study is not aimed at duplicating but for the purpose of knowing what and how other designers are doing.

- Observe how customers use similar products when KIMA has new idea of designs.

- Pilot using similar products so that KIMA can identify whether these products are useful or not, which helps KIMAproduces products more effectively.

- Discuss with the customers who use similar products so as to know: what they like or don’t like, how the products should be? What materials are needed? As a result, KIMA can produce high quality products with reasonable and affordable prices.

- Define the target markets and customers with the following questions: which are target markets? Who are target customers? Moreover KIMA also pays attention to customers’s characteristics such as gender and age.

- Collect and study the target products and define why they are favored by customers.

- Collect information about customers and markets through journals, magazines, and newspapers

- Estimate production costs so that we can define reasonable and competitive prices.

- Finally, draw the chart of research information and check the idea of creating products once again.

2. Completing the ideals

- Make drafts with different designs, colors and materials.

- Discuss the designs with fellows and friends.

- Choose the best drafts.

- Introduce the drafts to customers. Listen and respect customer’s comments for premium development of the designs.

3. Completion

- Continue with the chosen ideas. Products strictly follow technical and artistic standards.

- Develop shapes, detailed designs with different topics.

- Choose materials, tools.

- Prepare all the necessary elements to begin the production process.

- Meet crucial factors are that materials are not harmful to user’s health and do not pollute the environment.

- Have production plans for each production stage

- Supervise the production process strictly.

- Follow the slogan: one product is an art, regardless it is a single or serial one.

- Respect and encourage the skillfulness of all our workers.
